🧑🏻‍🏫 Making Network Capital School need blind

Happy teachers’ day to our beloved mentors who have shaped us in indescribable ways. Network Capital would not exist without them and we celebrate them every single day.

Network Capital is a community of 100,000+ verified millennials and Gen Z. It has grown without spending a single dollar on marketing. We have been featured in Harvard Business Review, World Economic Forum, Harvard Business School, TED and Mint.

In less than three years, we have scaled a community of 100,000+ members from 104 countries without spending a single dollar on marketing. In this fellowship, we will teach you exactly that. This fellowship is specifically designed for -

  1. Individuals who want to start building their community right now.

  2. Companies who are attempting to build their communities and would like to train their employees

  3. Community managers who want to get better at their jobs

  4. Curious and entrepreneurial individuals who want to grow by creating their tribe.

As the Indian contingent returned from the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, I (Varya) got the opportunity to meet the Gold Medalist Neeraj Chopra and the Bronze Medalist Indian Men’s Hockey Team.

What seems like ‘over-night success’ achieved by the Indian athletes at Tokyo has been years in making with the supports of hundreds of people enabling the athletes. There is an entire invisible ecosystem of federations, support-staff, PR teams, data scientists, coaches, strategists, media professionals and administrators who make it possible for players to focus blindly on their training and practice. They work out the logistics, make sports financial feasible for the athletes and make sports entertaining for the viewers.

While we (Network Capital) may not be the best platform for training athletes, we are there to support the sports ecosystem by making careers in Sports Management accessible.

From business to tech to analytics to branding & marketing to media & entertainment - the Network Capital Sports Management Fellowships will make sure that we support our members build their ‘Category of One’ in the sports industry.

The Network Capital School designed to help students between the ages 8 to 18 build their category of one. Before we tell you more about the school, here are the graduating talks for the Network Capital Summer School students.

Our school complements the ongoing education in schools and focus on 4 key aspects -

  1. Persuasive writing

  2. Powerful public speaking

  3. Critical thinking

  4. Micro-experiments to figure your purpose in life

For September 2021, we will be focusing on critical thinking. In the coming weeks, our students will learn from some of the sharpest graduates of Oxford, Harvard Business School, INSEAD and Yale. They will also learn from top professionals from Economist, Boston Consulting Group, Facebook and Stripe.

To ensure that all students have access to NC School, we have made it need-blind. If you are (or know) a curious student between the age of 8 to 18 who would like to join the Network Capital, register here. If you cannot afford the fees and would like a scholarship, apply here.

Newsletters

If you haven’t heard of Only Fans, it is understandable. It is a privately held company that makes tens of billions of dollars in gross merchandise value and billions of dollars in net revenue. It was set up just 5 years back in 2016 by Tim Stokely and has more than 130 million users. It rose to prominence and popularity by providing a platform for content creators, largely from the adult entertainment industry, to connect with their audience, build a community and create a business on their terms.

We fundamentally believe that in the times to come, no matter what your job is, you will also be a creator. Perhaps writing a newsletter at nights and being a Product Manager during the day, perhaps being a chef during the day and a YouTuber at night. That is why you must start thinking and acting like one from today. Consider having real skin the game of your future.

Being your own boss is both liberating and lonely. All aspects of your work are your responsibility - from setting up an insurance scheme to managing payroll of contractors. You need to figure out ways to keep yourself motivated and energized throughout the process. The key is to not expect an “Instagrammable” life each day.
