Effective writing is an exponentially high leverage skill. It helps you think, communicate and synthesise better. It sets you up for success. Good writing is a combination of practice, consistency and curiosity. In our newsletters before we have shared 8 ideas for great writing and talked about approaching publishers. With the writing fellowship we want to provide you an immersive experience in the writing ecosystem.

PS. The fellowship starts on April 24, 2021. We will be taking 30 fellows in this cohort.

Masterclasses

Mr. Kumar is a member of the Indian Administrative Service of 1987 batch. He holds a B.Tech from IIT Kanpur in Electrical Engineering, M Tech from IIT Delhi and an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas with concentration in Finance and Management Information Systems. After graduating from IIT, Kanpur in 1985, he was awarded a full scholarship for MS leading to PhD in Digital Electronics in Carnegie Melon University in Pennslyvania, USA.Mr. Kumar brings with him 33 years of experience in public administration.

Ishan is an entrepreneur, global executive & team builder who loves creating and scaling up businesses. He is driven by the idea of democratising access across various dimensions and has spent all his professional life doing so through his work in the areas of education, finance & information. Ishan is currently the Global Head of Operations at Udacity. In this capacity, he is responsible for driving successful outcomes for customers worldwide and across consumer, enterprise and government channels. Prior to heading global operations, Ishan built Udacity’s India business from the ground up.

Ipshita started her career as an investment banker with Deutsche Bank. She spent three years in early-stage VC and impact investing, focused on ed-tech and fin-tech, with the Dell Foundation and Elevar Equity in India. She then started up in the ed-tech and content discovery space, democratising discovery of learning-based content across the web. She's headed to business school at Stanford GSB in the fall, and is currently working with Nova Credit, a Bay Area startup. Nova helps immigrants moving to the US access financial products in the US, using their home-country credit history, so they can start their financial journey in the US on equal footing.

Let’s unpack specific knowledge and leverage.

In 1975, Doerr was working under Andy Grove, often touted as the greatest manager of all time. Grove invented the ‘Objectives and Key Results’ (OKRs) system for management because he believed that success was mostly about excellent execution. In the OKR system, the objective is the direction, or what you want to accomplish, and the key results are how you will get it done.
