💌 Thinking about process versus outcome - But watching Qala helped me stumble onto an interesting insight. It is very reductive to think of things as a process versus outcomes. Instead, it might be a lot more constructive to look at it as a spectrum. All of us do something for vanity, social acceptance, and our larger relationship with the external world. And then there is the process that you follow for your help that makes the outcomes worth it.

💌 Year In Review: Network Capital in 2022 - 2022 was a lot about things happing at Network Capital. The highlight might be the stake acquisition by a blockchain unicorn, but there is multiple other intangible outcomes and areas of rapid growth that NC saw. In a year that saw many VC-funded EdTech companies struggle with revenues and growth, the Network Capital ecosystem scaled with profitability and impact. This year’s wrap up is our way of celebrating the rapid changes, and planning for 2023 step by step, ferociously

💌 A short reel to conclude the memorable year - To understand the process, you may want to subscribe to Network Capital and refer your friends. I have built Network Capital in an unorthodox way. When funding was flowing, I chose to build it day by day, prioritizing impact and unit economics. Being profitable from day 1 enabled us to say no to the collective hysteria engulfing the edtech landscape in the middle of the pandemic.

Some plans for 2023

At Network Capital we have always operated keeping the mission of making meaningful careers accessible. In the coming year, we will -

  1. Double down on B2B partnerships, and collaborate with mission driven organisations to create win-win outcomes at scale.

  2. Invite some of the most interesting and thoughtful individuals to come teach on Network Capital.

  3. Continue to keep Network Capital need blind and accessible. We hope to increase the scholarship corpus with the help of our new and old patrons.

  4. Curate meaningful offline learning experience and meet-ups all over the world. We are specifically looking to add layers of learning and up-skilling to monthly meet-ups.

  5. Scale the Network Capital School to make training of writing, public speaking and critical thinking accessible to teenagers.

  6. Grow the Network Capital team. Network Capital has always operated with a lean team. Today we have two people working on Network Capital full-time and hundreds of members volunteering their time. In 2023, we plan on slowly growing out team.
