The Graduating Cohort of the Public Speaking Fellowship

Effective communication and increasing luck surface area

We introduced the Public Speaking Fellowship by quoting Ralph Waldo Emerson - “Speech is power: speech is to persuade, to convert, to compel. It is to bring another out of his bad sense into your good sense.” And in a way the fellowship journey was an interrogation of the power of persuasion. It started with a public debate, went on to a team presentation, and concluded with a ‘TED Talk’.

There was obviously a lot of nervousness, excitement, and peer-learning; but want stood out about each fellow was the tangible improvement they made from their first introductory session to the final talks they delivered.

So after days of practice and sessions - here is the first cohort of the Public Speaking Fellowship with their TED Talks.

We hope you enjoyed these talks, it surely gave us a lot to think about. You will notice that by doing this fellowship and giving these TED Talks the PSF Cohort I has been able to - (a) Effectively communicate a complex idea in limited time, and (b) expand their luck surface area and share their interest with an audience.
